"Add a Page" menu versus "Add a Section" menu - Confusing?

Recommended Posts

I am a little confused at the differences between the menus available when I choose to "Add a Page" versus "Add a Section" (see screenshot below).

For example, if I'm designing a particular page (let's say it's the About page) and I want to add a pre-designed "FAQs" section, it appears that I have to exit this About page, then select "Add a Page" and create a "FAQs page". I then have to edit that FAQs page in order to save the pre-designed FAQs section to my "Saved Sections", return to my "About" page and add the saved FAQs section from my "Saved Sections".

Is this confusing and cumbersome for anyone else or is it just my Friday brain?? 🫠

The pre-designed page layouts in the add new page menu are generally speaking made up of the predesigned sections available in add new section menu, they are just put together.

I would agree that the naming of the page layouts and section layouts isn't the most intuative, but you should be able to look through and find a starting point in the sections menu without starting a new page.
