How do I send a discount code to new mailing list subscribers

I'd like another email to trigger once someone confirms their subscription to my mailing list which will give them a 10% off discount code OR a link to a 'subscribers goodies' page. Is this possible and if so how do I set it up?

You can do this by creating an email automation, however you'll need to be on at least the Core plan to access this: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/360002077567-Sending-automated-campaigns

Unfortunately automations are not available on the Email Campaigns Starter plan.
