How to add an image on a blog page

Hello, trying to add an image to the main blog page (first image), after clicking the read more link. I changed the image for the 'preview' page (second image). The blog is comprised of a section with text box. Do I need to change it to a code box? And I would have to do that to all of my blog pages? I want the image to float either left or right, not sure yet.  Many thanks

Have you tried adding an image block? Click on the blue insertion points, and then drag the image block into the position you want.

When I hover inside the section ot text box, it doesn't float the 'add a block' box like it does on some other pages. Is it because its a blog page? Thanks for the assist.

Yes the blog pages use the classic editor, click on the blue insertion point.

Any ideas how to get it to float?

Depends what you mean by float? If you want it to text wrap, then drag the image block over the text until you see a blue rectangle, then drop.
