TomVoltage
Hi everyone, I currently have a primary domain on Squarespace (hosted by Squarespace) which is a "Business" subscription for my doc Boris KArloff: The Man Behind the Monster. I've just renewed it but I need to add two or three Subdomains, for other projects, including which I would then like to make into the Primary Domain. This would be an overall page for myself and my brand. IS this possible and can anyone advise? Here's the ultimate shape I'm looking for. Thanks in advance Tom Link to comment

TomVoltage
Thanks Cass, This partly helps but it doesn't answer the question regarding the "switching around" As you can see in the diagram I want to have a new primary domain called Voltage Films, the current Primary Domain (Karloff) will then become a sub-domain under it. And the other part of my question - definitely not touched on by the article is this. I'll be paying for a new domain in order to set up Voltage Films. However what will happen to the unused subscription I've paid in recently renewing the Karloff domain when it becomes a sub-domain - will Squarespace credit whatever is left from the subscription towards my account? Thanks in advance. Link to comment
derricksrandomviews
A second domain as long as purchased under the same subscriber account does not change that account except that the charge is added to your account. You can make that new domain the primary domain in settings. However, you cannot make the original one a subdomain if attached to the same website. it will still go to the home page but the new domain will show in the browser bar when it does. You can however publish it as "firstdomain.com/page" and direct it to any page url if you want a second "landing page" for example. If you want your domains to have separate websites then you would transfer the original one to that site. Same billing account but with two sites.
