Automated Job Board

Hey guys

i am creating a recruitment website for a client and they want a job board linked to their CRM. They already use a CRM so don’t want to use another one or pay for anything. I just need to know how I can create a job board from their CRM and when they update their CRM with new jobs, I want it to update automatically on their new website I’m building.

Without more detail about what pieces are available to work with it is going to be hard to help.

In general though, if it is possible at all, the CRM would need to output data in a way that could be used in a website.

It could provide a high level output through an iframe tag that pulls in already web formatted data. Or, it might be a script tag running JavaScript that returns formatted data.

If you don't have that kind of access then you'd be looking for an API. A REST API would be one. With REST you'd be most likely reading more raw like data and then you'd have to write custom JavaScript to read in the data and format it into HTML to be inserted into a page.

All these techniques of course require that the CRM be serving data over the internet. If it doesn't have that then life gets harder. You'd then be looking at exporting data somehow and processing it into a final format. It can be done but is not easy nor very fluid and may not be practical for a jobs board.

Without the first two methods (iframe, JavaScript) I mentioned I don't see how this can be done without paying someone, unless you want to work for free.
