installing a chatbot

I just got started, and I'm running into a lot of gaps in my understanding.  I am trying to add a chatbot to my webpage, using Live Chat.  It instructs me to add a snippet of code to my html just before the last </body> tag.  I think I am doing that, but it doesn't seem to make a permanent change.  I imagine I'm misunderstanding the process.

Are you trying to add the code via the Chrome Developer Tools?

You should be adding it to the Footer section of the Code Injection on the website.

I see.  Do I need to upgrade to a fancier plan to be able to do that?

To use the Code Injection, yes, you need a Business plan or higher. 

You may still be able to add this via a code block in the footer of your website.
