How to add a date of birth field to a newsletter sign up form

Hi all 🙂 I am trying to figure out if there is a way to add an additional field somehow to a squarespace newsletter block? We want to collect date of birth for birthday automations (via Squarespace email, as that is what they use) but can't see a way to do this... any ideas? Thanks so much in advance 🙏

Hi Ziggy, just looking at this now, and I was wondering if you knew how I then get this to store the email in my mailing list, and have double-opt in for applied?

Hi Ziggy, so sorry for the delay, I am just using squarespace email. Thank you

You can't directly manage form submission in email campaigns, but they do now go to customer accounts. This isn't ideal, but in the form email field settings you can toggle the email campaign switch which gives a user checkbox for getting newsletter updates, that adds a step that you shouldn't need for a newsletter, but it would automatically populate the email campaigns.
