Default Buttons need Formatting

Recommended Posts

Hi,

The default button designs in Squarespace are massive and are really difficult to edit using the basic editor options. I've started looking into custom css but this also doesn't seem to be working. Apparently the CSS is incompatible, even though I was taking guidance from a Squarespace developer.

I'd like to be able to change the size of them (something that should be very basic) - how can I do this in version 7.1?

Thanks for your help.

You have control over the font size, line height, and padding in the styles menu, these should be all you need.

I will caveat that by mentioning that if you have the buttons set to FILL rather than FIT in the layout, the button will fill the assigned grid rows and columns, rather than just having the padding set in the styles menu.

I couldn't work out why the padding wasn't working. The simple switch to to Fill has fixed my problem. Thank you.

Not a problem!
