Adding logo into footer

I'm trying to add my logo (png file) into the footer but the image is greyed out in the background. I'm able to add the png file anywhere else just fine throughout the website and in the header but it's not displaying as transparent in the footer. Any advice? Thanks!

Can you share a link to your site?

If your footer is a theme colour that you haven't used elsewhere on your site, it might just be that the image overlay is step (which is a Sqsp default unfortunately). You can turn this off in Site Styles:

Design > Site Styles > Color > Choose theme that your footer is > Image Block > Image Overlay

Then slide the transparently slider down to 0 on the left
