I am just wanting to add some images for decorative purposes only, do I need to have original images or can I borrow free-use images from Google Image Search? Thanks.

There's no specific need to use an original image but using a high enough resolution image is preferable, generally being careful about making sure you have the correct usage right to an image is important.
