susanneN
I am moving my online yarn shop to Squarespace, but HAVE TO have small thumbnail images of each color variant underneath main product picture like this (see screeshot below). I have purchased one month Squarespace service and also purchased a plug-in with SQSP https://www.sqspthemes.com/plugins/change-product-image-with-variant that seems to do the job according to their description. But it doesn't work on the SKYLOOP theme and not sure why. Does Squarespace a theme/template with that functionality built in? Or can someone tell me what I might being doing wrong with the plug-in? I have followed the steps and I even made the purchase for a month to make sure it work on a paid account. See attached screenshots of what I am looking for: My Squarespace Skyloop test page below. The thumbnail can be on the right too - just somewhere. Edited July 24 by susanneN Link to comment

creedon
The code is not running. This could be because you are in trial mode or you need the business plan or above. Find my contributions useful? susanneN
But I purchased the business plan for just one month to test it. I've deleted the scripts, restarted my computer, deleted cookies, reinstalled plug-in - and still not working. Why else would it refuse executing the script ? I purchased the business model - not the commerce model, but in the pricing section it said javascripts and CSS worked for both. If it doesn't work I have to find a new platform, but I like Squarespace a lot and want it to work. Link to comment

susanneN
Sorry - that part has worked the whole time. This is for having small thumbnail images UNDERNEATH or next to the MAIN photo. I did my amateur drawing with pink in my first post. The other image is an existing online to show how each color has to be displayed NEXT the the main image. Does that make sense? That is what the plug-in is sussposed to do. https://www.sqspthemes.com/plugins/change-product-image-with-variant Link to comment
susanneN
I'm actually surprised this is not part of Squarespace ecomm standard functionality since it's a pretty common feature when shopping online. But the plug-in demo is exactly what I want. should work like this: https://loopknitting.com/en-us/collections/camarose-1/products/camarose-snefnug-snowflake?variant=39895003693264 Edited July 23 by susanneN Link to comment
creedon
I suspect you need to change the design to get the thumbnails backs. This won't get you a thumbnail grid. You'd need custom code to get that, if it can be done. I don't recall code that currently does this. Find my contributions useful? susanneN
I can't find any code for this particular issue. I'm waiting for the plug-0in developer to get back to me, but that is not happening either. Link to comment
