Not able to checkout on my website

Hi - when I hit the Checkout button on my site (I do have items in the basket), I get a strange result (see attached). Is this familiar to anyone? I've tested this on other computers and an ipad with the same result.

I've been selling up until two days ago so other people have been able to check out. I haven't got any page-specific CSS. Any help will be very welcome as at the moment I can't sell anything..!

This is not normal, and isn't happening on other sites that I've tested. Custom code cannot be added to the checkout so isn't likely to be the cause of your issue.

Thanks for your advice - I've sent the screenshots and description to Squarespace's email address. I'll report here if I get a response.

Squarespace support got back to me recommending I remove all custom CSS (in Design > Custom CSS), of which I have a couple of dozen lines. I did this, saved, and refreshed the Checkout page. It worked fine... However, I then pasted back the CSS, saved the changes, and the Checkout page still works fine. I wish I’d tried refreshing the Checkout page before altering the CSS to test whether it was related.

Anyway, my site is working just as it was previously, although I’m still mystified by what caused this 48-hour error.

Me too! As I understand the checkout page nothing custom from your site is used in it for security reasons.

SS recommending fiddling with Design > Custom CSS would have an effect sounds like hokum to me. The site.css file is not used in the checkout page.

At least the issue has resolved!
