Hi - wondering if anyone has created a site where you need clients to fill out a custom form for a free quote on a job? I'd like to add one to a moving site I'm doing. I made a form, 7.1 site, but you have to checkout a product in order to make it work.

Hi Lee, how did you create this form? Do you need to have it linked to a shop? If just for a quote, you'll likely be able to use the regular form block as you can edit the form fields you need and the submission is just emailed to you.

@CassAggett makes a good point. If you only have one service and not several products then a single form could be used to get the job done. Since you mentioned a product form I assumed you might be wanting an enquiry for multiple products. @paul2009's code should work well for that use case.

Your current form sounds like a Product Form or a Checkout Form - both of which require the user to check out, making them unsuitable for pre-sales enquiries.

If you need a simple form for quote requests, you can add one to any standard layout page by using a Form Block. You can receive the requests via email or add them to a Google Sheet.

If you're using store pages and you need an enquiry form that automatically picks up details about the product the user is viewing, that's where a paid plugin like my Product Enquiry Form comes into its own.
