Immortal_Explorer
I need to set up a redirect as I've recently changed the URL slug on my contact page. I'm trying to follow this guide (and others) https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205815308-URL-redirects They all say go to the 'settings' page and click 'advanced', but there isn't an advanced option on my settings page. Thanks Link to comment
creedon
The guide you point to says Developer Tools (unless you're looking at a cached version). DT was called Advanced before SS made recent changes to the SS panels. Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile. Immortal_Explorer
Thanks, so how do I get Google to use the new link when the 'contact' page of my site appears in the search results? As it stands, you search for Brainforest Creative and it brings up the home page and contact page, but contact page has recently changed the URL, see attached please Thnaks Link to comment

When you've added the redirect, anyone clicking on the 'Contact' result in Google will reach the correct contact page, so this should resolve any issues for the moment. Google's results will eventually be updated automatically but you can try to speed this along by asking them to reindex your site, but note that this isn't instant, especially for small websites.
