hacthoun Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 Hi! I'm running a microbakery and would like to be able to open my commerce page up for orders on Sundays and then pause them on Thursdays, then reopen on Sundays just to control the flow of orders and inventory and not have a mountain pile up over the weekend. Is there a way to do this?
creedon Posted July 17, 2023 Posted July 17, 2023 (edited) SS does not have a built-in feature for this. The following thread might be elucidating. Beyond the manual techniques discussed, it is possible to manipulate add to cart buttons with custom JavaScript code. I know of no code that does this specifically for the schedule you mention. But, such manipulation is possible [ 1, 2 ]. Edited July 17, 2023 by creedon Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile. MPX Posted July 18, 2023 Posted July 18, 2023 Another option that we used recently to pause orders was to use the out of stock product status feature under the commerce section at the bottom of list. Adding the out of stock status to your product turns the add to cart button off. We also put a note in the product description saying, Please check back soon we will be back in stock on etc etc. For all your listings you'd need to take inventory down to 0 to make this work.
