Can't move domain from Squarespace to Shopify: "There are no eligible sites to move a domain to on this account."

I have an active domain that expires in October, I bought it back in 2020 through Squarespace and its hosted by Tucows. I had a business plan for a year, then I allowed it to expire, and today I repurchased a month of business plan through squarespace to activate my website again (I was told I had to have an active website in order to transfer the domain away from it).

When I go to domains> click on the domain I want to transfer> unlock the domain sucessfully>click on "Move Domain to another site" it comes up with "There are no eligible sites to move a domain to on this account."

Tutorials have said there should be another button that I can click that says "send authorization email" however, there is no such button.

I'm thoroughly stuck, and the tutorials do not seem to help. I feel like i'm missing something obvious.

Trying to move my .co.uk domain that isn't locked from squarespace to Shopify. Kind regards.

The message "There are no eligible sites to transfer a domain to on this account" indicates that you don’t have another Squarespace site, which is correct if you are trying to connect it to Shopify.

To use the domain with Shopify (instead of Squarespace) you can either transfer the domain away from Squarespace (the process will depend on the top-level domain type) or you can add custom DNS records to connect your Squarespace domain to a Shopify website. To do this, you'll need to know the correct DNS settings for your Shopify site.

4. Click the Send Transfer Authentication Code button that appears at the bottom of the panel. This sends an email with a unique authentication code to the domain’s Owner Contact if your domain's registrar is Squarespace Domains LLC. If your domain's registrar is Tucows, the transfer authentication code is sent to the domain's Admin Contact.

On your link "transfer the domain away from Squarespace" when I go to the domain page, it does not have this option to click the button "send transfer authentication code", it is not there at the bottom of the panel, as per what the tutorial says.
