Portfolio page with stacked images

Recommended Posts

Hi, I use Squarespace 7.1. I would like to make a portfolio page (Grid: Overlay) where the images are stacked vertically.  Is it possible to do this with the Custom CSS function? If so, does anyone know the code for it? I am glad about any hint! Thanks

Can you share your website URL?

How do the images look now? By "stacked vertically" are you specifically wanting a single column?

Hi Ziggy, thanks for the quick response. Right now my portfolio grid looks like this:

I would like to have 3 or 4 columns. If there will be spacing between the images, I don't know yet.

Try the solutions offered here, what you are looking for is a masonry grid layout:

I have looked at the thread, thanks again! Unfortunately I did not manage to install the plugin. Apparently my knowledge is not enough for this. The CSS codes that appear in the thread I have also tried. Unfortunately, that did not work at all.
At least I managed to create a link to my unpublished page:

Attention, this is work in progress, not at all finished.

Above code is complex, not easy to install it with non-coder

You can consider using Gallery Section Masonry, then link each image to portfolio items

any other way to create the stack view without using the gallery section masonry...i want a similar effect but instead for the image blocks to be initially stacked ontop of each other like a pile of messy papers if you will. Then once you click the top image, it expands to a grid-like view of all the images.

I have attached a video for reference and the URL of the images I want to use.

i previously tired some custom coding but it hasn't fully worked.

Thank you in advance
