ron1cne Posted July 16, 2023 Posted July 16, 2023 Hey I noticed sometimes the http header time will be off when running an SEO site check. Now, I understand Squarespace has a definitive take on third party site checking and will quote some verbiage indicating Squarespace is special and somehow immune to these things. However, I do think it is possible to add some time synchronization coding to round up all the servers so they all report the same time, shorten the Cache-Control / max-age, or check for a bad system board battery in the server farm. Probably this issue started after a recent hosting outage I experienced a few weeks ago. Probably a server was recovered or standby went operational and one or the other needs a quick check up. At any rate, while a time sync issue has many other impacts my particular concern at the moment of writing this is its impact to search engine optimization. It's popping a high importance alert when the issue occurs. It seems to be randomly occurring and that's why I suspect one node somewhere in the system is misconfigured or failing.
