How am I best verifying my site on Google Seaech console?

Recommended Posts

The easiest way to do it is via Google Analytics @Immortal_Explorer - that way, you have them both set up.

To do this, connect your Google Analytics by adding your measurement ID into the Google Analytics section of the "External API keys" - full tutorial here:

Once done, just connect Google Search Console via connecting your Google Analytics account.

However, the best way to do it is via domain verification - you can find a tutorial here: https://taylornguyen.ca/posts/squarespace-search-console

Don't suppose you can be of any help with this one as well

Hi,

I'm trying to get my recently uploaded favicon to show up next to my site when it is searched in Google. (SERP)

The favicon is displaying in browser tabs, but just not SERPS

I'm following this guide (se image), where exactly am I inserting the code into the header, does anyone have a guide?

Sure @Immortal_Explorer - I also have a detailed guide on this topic: https://www.seospace.co.uk/blog/how-to-change-squarespace-favicon

Sometimes it takes time for Google to actually show your Favicon though - if you don't have many high-quality backlinks, high-value content, or your site is new, it may take a while.

Feel free to send through your site and I can take a look.
