How can I get my favicon image small enough

I'm trying to add a favicon but I can't seem to get it small enough. I've tried Tiny JPG etc but I'll be there forever.

Is there a better way to get it below 100kb?

If you want to drop the image in here I can make you a favicon. I use a program called image to icon.

You can try to have Google crawl your website again, but it can be a waiting game. Google is also fickle. I have heard of people who have theirs show up and then one day it's just been set to a default image on Google's end.

To find info on crawling do a quick search for forcing Google to recrawl website.
