Squarespace not recognizing FB and Instagram orders

Recommended Posts

Posted

Facebook meta is giving me a notification saying that my customers order cannot be processed until recognized by commerce manager. I had everything linked and working and then the first order came through (but didn't until I found it on FB meta), and there is no way to manually process this order. I need to know how to fix this. For the time being I've disabled the store via FB and Instagram.

Did you ever find a resolution to this issue? I am getting the same message, and some angry customers.

Meta says Squarespace is to blame.

Been dealing with this issue for months, facebook says it is squarespaces issues, squarespace says it is facebooks issues. Has anyone figured this out?

Same issue here. I've missed multiple orders on FB/IG because I was never notified by Meta that orders came in. Been on chats with both Meta and Squarespace and they both say it's an issue with the other company. Very frustrating and still no solutions. Anyone else make progress on this? Thanks.

Has anyone found an solution to this? Meta is telling me I need to create an app so that I can add a system user and I have no idea what that even means.

Facebook is not being completely honest with people about the problem. They change the way that Facebook and Instagram stores work and they are trying to force people to process through them instead of linking from a store and processing on your end. Frankly it's because they want a cut of the action.

That part I get. But still, if we connect our squarespace commerce account directly to our facebook shop, and the inventory flows from squarespace to facebook shop, even if the customer checks out on facebook. . .the order should still flow from facebook to squarespace commerce orders tab for fulfillment. If for no other reason than inventory management. Why should we have to create two separate inventories, or manually go in to squarespace and remove inventory we sold on facebook when the inventory CAME from squarespace in the first place? It's so frustrating. And I know this is not your fault. I think I'm just venting. 🙂

I totally get it. Squarespace has this help article that may or may not be pertinent. I wish I could offer more advice but when they made changes on Facebooks end I stopped syncing my inventory and just direct people to the website.

The lack of functionality of this integration is appalling. There are SO many people with the same issue — none of the Facebook or Instagram orders feed to Squarespace, how is there still no real fix or solution for this??

Did anyone figure this out? Got my first meta store order and I can’t see it in Squarespace. And I can’t even fulfill. Somebody probably paid into the ether.

i hate how Squarespace thinks that they can keep getting away with this.
