Setting Up Webgains

Hi All

I'm trying to setup my wegains affiliate account but to validate my site they are asking for the actions below (I've anonymized it btw)...I've no idea how to do what they are asking but for the first point I have setup a webpage called xaj and asked for it not be tracked by search engines - I guess that may work?? 

I've no idea hif my solution to point 1 will work and no clue how to complete point 2. Google hasn't helped.

Can anyone help me with this?

• Create a file named xaj.html to the root folder of the domain of your website. i.e. www.yourdomain.com/wzbifxaj.html
• Insert a meta tag to your site's homepage. i.e. <meta name='webgains-site-verification' content='xaj' />

First step is not possible. You think contact them if they have provide other options?

Insert a meta tag to your site's homepage

You can add the meta tag (the text they have provided that starts with "<meta") to the Code Injection header.
