URL History / Hacked / NO Rankings.... ANYWHERE

Recommended Posts

So my url/site were originally created in 2009 (so it has a long history) I went through two redesigns. And I used wordpress to buold out the second design. Long story short, hackers got in to the site and redirected it to a canadian pharmacy. Every time I would use site lock to load a previous version of the site, the hacked code still remained, and in a few months the site redirected back to a canadian pharmacy TIME AFTER TIME. I think it happened three times. For about a year, I was too busy to recreate it from scratch so I redirected it to my other site (www.washingtondcheadshots.com).

Now, business is S.L.O. W. so I had time to completely switch platforms and do a redesign. Hence why I'm here on square space. I have a new site up and I've noticed that my organic rankings for my site are literally nonexistent. Im not even in the first 100 listings! For anything! This isn't the first website I have done SEO work on, so I like to think I know more then the average joe.
Can anyone please tell me if they know anything about the history of your URL affecting showing up in search results? and how long you think this will last and if you know of anything I can do to speed up finally showing up on the organic search rankings? THANK YOU ALL!

Hi Kristina, I can certainly confirm that you've got search issues! I'm sorry you've had so many issues with this domain.

Good news is that your domain authority is good and you have lots of good backlinks, but you can see the drop in organic traffic here:

There are a few steps you can take in Google Search Console that might start recovering some listings. Do you have GSC set up with this domain and linked to the website?

I haven’t but I’m sure I can figure it out. What are the steps I should take after signing up if I haven’t already?

The first thing to do when you are in GSC is go to the security & manual actions tab and see if there are any problems reported there.

These both look clear.

Well, that's good, but doesn't provide a path to get things working for you.

I think that you should re-submit your sitemap to Google Seach Console, and manually request indexing of all of your pages.

I'd be very happy to jump on a call and walk through this process and make sure your website is all linked up correctly.
