Adding a site-wide password does not allow anyone to alter your site. It only allows those with the password to see your site.

I suspect the List Title size has been set to a large number. I'm thinking a custom setting as when I increased my test site size to Heading 1 even that didn't get as big as yours.

I didn't see any custom CSS issues.

Let us know how it goes.
