Image displaying incorrectly behind a color block -- help needed with how to fix the code

A developer worked on my site (thenetfw.com/gala) and created custom page templates but is no longer available to help me make updates. My event page seems to have a glitch where it is displaying a color shape over the images I upload and I believe it is something in the code because everything I have tried has not worked to fix it. I was wondering if anyone would know how to access the code for a custom page template and what I should be looking for within it to fix. I am not a coder and don't want to mess anything up but really need this part of my page to work! 

(Note -- I do not have this section actually displaying currently since it looks so bad so if you visit the site you can't see it but this is what it looks like when I try)

Is this section made with an image block and a shape block? If so you just need to adjust the layering order, click on the shape block and then click the backwards icon:
