Saving new html code

We are trying to add code to a website to remediate errors related to accessibility.  We can edit the code, but the changes don't seem to save when using the inspect tool.  Is there a way to edit in another manner?  We need to add descriptions to images on the site, as well as values for button labels.  Any help is appreciated.

The inspect tool doesn't allow you to make any changes to any website, it is purely for inspecting and testing. Any changes that you want to be viewable outside your browser need to be made in the website either by clicking on the images and adding descriptions, or by using Code Blocks, Code Injection, or Cusotm CSS.

For one of the buttons, the code saved, but it may not have changed the button.  Do we need to reload the page perhaps?
