Play HD video in Video Block or Section Banner

I am trying to get the video in section #test1 or #hero-video playing in HD since I want to use this video on my home page and blurred video looks pretty bad. Is it possible to force a video block or section banner to play high quality video only and show a static image until it loads? Looking for a solution without vimeo pro subscription. 

Note: Video should have no controls, borders or branding.

Have you tried uploading the video directly rather than adding it via Vimeo?

The videos should play in HD but this will depend on the connection speed, and overall load time of the website.

Hi! Yes, I've tried uploading the video directly. It blurs both for section banners and video blocks. I think my connection speed is good, I can view HD videos without blurring or buffer on other websites just fine.

I have the same issue and already contacted SS Customer Care but they are, in a few word, stating that it is as it is, and the platform isn't allowing any videos to be loaded in a decent quality, resulting in fact in a scam feature.

@lo_ad I added the video from vimeo, and had to get onto their paid plan. It doesn't seem fair but I don't have a better suggestion at the moment.
