Freight_Site
HI Guys, I can't seem to get bing to remove the .squarespace domain from the Bing Search results... Every time I google our site mardell group it comes up with the correct mardellgroup.com.au, how ever if i search mardell group in bing it always comes up with mardellgroup.squarespace.com. My custom domain is marked as the primary as well. Please see attached verification from being imported from google, Does anybody know how to fix this? Link to comment
creedon
Have you requested that the SS built-in domain be removed from Bing? There are docs on the web on how to do it. There are other issues that could be causing this. Have you made any internal references on your site to the built-in domain? If so, those need to be fixed. In most cases when creating links on your site you don't need to use the full domain, you use absolute references. Absolute references will work for both your SS built-in and custom domains. People often use full URLs within their site because that is how they know URLs work when opening an address in the browser but they don't understand the underlying specification of how URLs work (i.e. absolute, relative, and etc.) If there are sites other than search engines on the web that point to your SS built-in domain then this is also a problem and those need to be changed. Of course you'll use the full URL for those. Let us know how it goes. Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile.
