Blog post needs to have publish date prior to 1970

I'm using Will Myers timeline plugin.  It uses blog posts which makes it super easy, but I need to create entries prior to 1970, and squarespace only has blog post publish dates available only back to 1970.  Is there a way to customize the blog post publish date to what I need?

I think you'll have a hard time pushing the SS UI into being able to go back further than 1/1/1970, if possible at all. That date is known in computer terms as the epoch. Many systems that don't regularly have to deal with past dates, way in the past, start time there and don't make efforts to go back further. Even though computers can calculate times before the epoch.

I'm thinking you would need some JavaScript that would alter dates that are more recent to dates further back so you can get past the 1/1/1970 epoch.

Calendar date, day of week, number of days per year and month have a pattern. For example 2021 is the same as 1965. With this theoretical code that doesn't exist you could alter all 2021 years to 1965.
