Simple Gallery with thumbnail customizations

Essentially what I would like to do is have a custom section on the homepage that works like this: you have a gallery of images.

I guess you can use Gallery Section Slideshow Simple, then use some CSS to move thumbnails over Large Image. What do you think?

Thanks for responding - As you can see, It's already worked but I need the same as Figma. I'm using squarespace gallery features with Slideshow: simple gallery type with thumbnail option - but the issue is the client looking for an option when the visitor clicks on the first thumbnail it displays the image on the slider but when selecting another thumbnail the first thumbnail goes hidden. share code.  check video the first 3-4 seconds
