Jarmo2127
Hey All I have noticed something, Im trying to optimize the images on my site and noticed when I download an in the assets tab, it add a Pluse sign between the name for example. Image ... sunshine coast buildnig design , but once I donwload the image it renames the image ot sunshine+coast+building +design. So now my next question is should I re up load them with the pluse + simbol or add a - Hyphen or just leave a space. Link to comment
creedon
I've not delved into this particular area of functionality but in general plus signs are added when the uploaded file has spaces in the name. It's a web thing, it doesn't like spaces in file names and so the spaces are encoded either with + or %20 depending on context. As far as naming files. Do whatever you want. SS has no issues with files having the same name. In other words you can not overwrite an already uploaded file. One tip. The Asset Library is not an asset manager. Images that are uploaded are not stored in their original format. You should always keep the original images on your hard drive or some other file storage service like Dropbox or Google Drive.
