Integrating PayPal Smart Buttons

Recommended Posts

Hello I am trying to create paypal smart buttons on pages within squarespace.  I have succesfully used the ordinary paypal buttons for many years by just copying the code into the button box.  But in order to add paypal to my active campaign automations I have to use Paypal smart buttons.    I can't for the life of me understand where to add the code, it doesnt seem to be the same way I used it with the ordinary paypal buttons.   I am not a coder but with instructions I make my way!   I was on a live chat with Squarespace this morning and they directed me to this forum.   This is the link to what paypal advise

Any help would be gratefully appreciated.   Thank you Dolores

Hi Dolores

Unfortunately these cannot be added to Squarespace. They can only be installed on a website "server", where developers have access to the "backend", with direct access to upgrade the checkout integration and add the SDK.

By contrast, Squarespace is a "serverless website builder". Whilst this means that you can produce a professional-looking website very easily without technical knowledge, it also means that you do not have access to the technical 'backend' areas that would allow you to use these 'buttons'.
