Turre Posted June 29, 2023 Posted June 29, 2023 Hello! Site: www.hiuspalveluatlantis.fi I'm currently waiting for the SSL certificate on this site I'm working on to activate. I'm having doubts if everything is allright as I'm using a connected third party domain and it has been ~30 hours since the DNS records were added to the domain and now the SSL certificate says unavailable on domain settings page and "error" in the developer tools SSL page. I do see that it could take up to 72 hours to generate the SSL but people here say that it is rare to take that long. If there is an error on my end I'd like to fix it asap as the site really should be up and running for the coming weekend. I personally don't have access to the domain controls but I'd like to have the people handling those to double check if all the records are correct. I was dumb enough to send them the records as an image attachment and they didn't have the chance to copy&paste them, so I'd like to re-send the records in text format to eliminate the possibility of human error. But now I can't find the DNS settings for my site in Squarespace. I looked up a guide and they should be in domain settings page but they are not. This is all I'm seeing: So, what gives? Where can I find them?
Turre Posted June 30, 2023 Author Posted June 30, 2023 So I contacted customer support, they were very helpful. They showed where to find my DNS settings. For some reason I don't have the option to view them directly but one can access them by adding /dns-settings at the end of the URL, like this:https://YOURPAGE.squarespace.com/config/settings/domains/linked/YOURDOMAIN.com/dns-settings Just adding if someone wonders the same thing. Apparently my domain handlers only added 2 of the 4 required A-records. They've now added the missing 2. Have to see if the certificate process completes / speeds up now. DED 1
Emstar Posted February 14 Posted February 14 OMG! This was exactly what I was looking for. You're the best!
DED Posted February 21 Posted February 21 Thank you! My client has been fighting with this for months. Did CS have any ideas as to why certain accounts can't see their DNS settings?
