Image Blocks with captions when viewed in a lightbox?

I've built a portfolio grid using image blocks, and want each of the images to enlarge in a lightbox when clicked. All fine, except there is nowhere to put a caption/description for the images for a bit of context.

Ideally, a caption that would appear when you hover over the lightboxed image.

Top left image is lightboxed, and ideally there would be a hover over caption, or caption below that would give some context when viewed in the lightbox

It looks like this is not possible. You can consider changing to Classic Editor Image Block or use Gallery Section.

But surely if using these blocks, it will be a bit difficult to achieve the current layout.

Do you know if there are plans to add captions to lightbox in the future? It seems like it should be a fairly standard inclusion?

Is there some way for me to try out the classic editor? I had a look but couldnt find it, just to see what I can do with it

To add Classic Editor Image Block, first you need to add a Classic Section > Then you can add Image Block
