New site background image on Montauk NOT displaying / keeps old one

Hi,

I had once uploaded a general background image years ago on my website and all was fine. But now that I'm trying to update it with a new one, and it simply won't show up once uploaded... I've refreshed my page, cleared the cache, closed the browser, tested it in another one, and it still doesn't work... So I said to myself, well might as well remove it and just choose a plain color. And that worked for like a few hours and NOW my old background image has magically reappeared even if removed!!!

 

Squarespace support told me it's because I had code on one my page (ABOUT section)... Which I find very absurd, because it's super basic stuff, and all about just changing the color of some text...

 

That support person didn't want to help me anymore and told me to come here to see if someone had an idea on how to solved this. So anyone knows how to solved the strange bug?!?!
