Add a Second Nav ABOVE Main Nav in 7.1 site -- with a Personal Plan?

Recommended Posts

When I designed this site - https://www.evemarieelkin.com/  using SqSp 7.0 a few years ago,  I had no problem adding a secondary nav in the upper right ABOVE the main nav.   I adde HOME ABOUT BLOG CONTACT and styled it...  And that was fairly easy.

Now, I'd like to do the same thing with a 7.1 site.... https://www.persephonezill.com/.  (Password Zill062323) I'd like to move Home About Appointments Contact to a line of navigation ABOVE the main navigation.

I do know some CSS but so far I haven't gotten it right.  I know that it is possible to add SqSp's Announcement Bar  add links to it... but that option (as well as the Injection code field)  are only available to Business Plans, and https://www.persephonezill.com/ is a Personal Plan site.

So I'm trying to find a CSS option so I don't have to ask the client to spend more $ per month -- which seems absurd just for this small feature.  Any suggestions?

Thank you!

The Squarespace 7.0 site used a Brine-family template which had a primary navigation and secondary navigation built into the template.

Squarespace didn't carry over this feature to Squarespace 7.1 so if you want this feature, you'll need to upgrade to a Business Plan because it will require code injection (a 'premium feature').

To be fair to Squarespace, they only offer the discounted Personal Plans so that individuals (not businesses) can get online and so they deliberately block these features to prevent businesses trying to use Personal Plans. CSS won't help here.

If you upgrade the site to a Business plan, please post back with details of what you want it to look like (ideally with a mockup image) and we can help you with some HTML and/or JS.
