WEDesignCo Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 I would like my store browsing experience to look something like the attached image. The colored squares represent thumbnails of image variants. Basically, I would like the user to be able to browse all of the product images without actually clicking onto the product page. Can this be done? Thanks!
creedon Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 I don't have a solution but some observations and possible starting points. SS doesn't support this kind of effect natively. I think there are two major pieces to this effect. One part is getting the effect to show for each category. Please see the following. The second is the functionality of changing product images based on the color square selected. This, I think, would be fairly labor intensive. Every element would have to be constructed either with some of the block elements, such as image and/or code blocks and JavaScript would be needed to handle the clicking/changing images functionality. If this things are not in your wheelhouse then you'd need to work with a developer to get to a potential end product. Find my contributions useful?
