Background block colour

Hi

I would like to add block colours to sections of my site, behind text to make each section stand out

I want a block colour behind a section of text to separate sections / blocks

I can't seem to figure it out

Hello!

When in edit mode of text, you have the option to add a background to the text block. More information here: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/205813798-Text-blocks#toc-add-a-background-color

You can also add shapes to sections: https://support.squarespace.com/hc/en-us/articles/8772134852493

When two or more blocks overlap , you'll have the option to move the block backwards or forwards within the toolbar.
