Dargaud
Hi, My SEO settings do not appear to be right. On google my title appears as someo.fr (Picture 1) but I put in squarespace some other information (Picture 2) and it's not appearing on Google. Does anybody know why this is the case ? Thanks :) Link to comment
Solution SEOSpace_Henry Posted June 16 Solution Share Posted June 16 Hi @Dargaud, First of all, don't panic. This impacts my site and many other sites across Google - sometimes, it just takes time for your SEO title to reflect accurately on Google. Below, however, are some things you can do to ensure you're doing everything you can: Ensure your SEO title is 50-60 characters long - yours looks about right Ensure you have enough content on your homepage - if you have thin (<300 words) content on your homepage, Google has no reason really to crawl and index it properly. Add backlinks - if you have few backlinks or referring domains (which your site lacks), your domain authority will be low. If your DA is low, Google is unlikely to crawl and properly display your website, as it's unimportant in Google's eyes. Follow SEO best practices - if you're not following best practices, Google may not properly crawl and display your website. For example, my plugin has identified you have a broken link and missing alt text on your homepage (attached) Submit your sitemap: If you haven't submitted your sitemap to Google Search Console, this can cause indexing issues. Feel free to follow this guide to learn how to do this: Feel free to let me know if you have any questions. Dargaud 1 Henry Purchase Founder of SEOSpace - the leading Squarespace SEO experts.
