Squarespace not providing the option to switch from an existing template to a 'Build Your Own Template"

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I am looking to finally change the template of a website I run, but I want to change my site to a template I build myself. I have used the "Build Your Own Template" feature before when creating other sites. For some reason, that unique template option does not appear when I browse templates to switch to my current site template to.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Dan

The new “blueprint” template builder creates a new version 7.1 website. It cannot be used on existing website. If you are seeing a template switching option on your current website, it is a version 7.0 site. To “upgrade” you’ll need to completely rebuild your site as there isn’t a way to migrate currently.
