Olivert
Hi, I have a site I began a while back and got too busy to continue. How can I scrap that site and begin anew, using a template. I can#t seem to find the right way to find the templates. Thanks for any help! Oliver Link to comment

Olivert
But that video doesn't tell me how to scrap everything and restart with a template. Building a new site on a trial will double the cost or will it automatically switch to the plan I have now? Link to comment
paul2009
Just now, Olivert said: But that video doesn't tell me how to scrap everything and restart with a template. Please take a look at option 4 in the guide that I sent you. Assuming you are using the latest version of Squarespace (version 7.1) then, if you want to start again with new demo content, you'll need to select a new template and start a new trial. It is not possible to change the template on an existing Squarespace 7.1 site, or move an existing website subscription from one site to another, so you'll have to cancel the existing subscription and start a new one on the new site. Olivert
Sorry, but I fail to see any sense in that. I can't delete all the pages on my site and start anew? Link to comment

Sure, you can delete all the content by manually deleting pages in the PAGES panel. About: SQSP User for 17 yrs. Circle Leader since 2017. I value honesty, transparency, diversity and good design ♥. Olivert
thanks for your help, although I don't understand why switching templates has been made so difficult. Or impossible without having to change the subscription. Link to comment

All the 7.1 designs templates are just different “starting points” to help you envision your design. They may have different default font and colour choices and different default demo content, but they are exactly the same in terms of their performance, the way they manage SEO and the features they offer.
