BackPorch Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 I'm still in the trial period and don't want to get too far into this if I can't make this work. I am building this site for a client (and websites aren't really what I do), and he is scaling back his publishing business. I want the site to look like the commerce pages but don't want/need the cart function. I want to direct buyers directly to the books on Amazon. I tried the Gallery and Portfolio page options instead, but can't figure out how to add text/descriptions/sections to the sub-pages. There will be 35-40 books/products. Forgive my ignorance, but am I missing something? This is my trial domain: koi-halibut-jfpr.squarespace.com I haven't changed it because we will transfer our current domain over when we go live. Thanks for any advice!
tuanphan Posted June 13, 2023 Posted June 13, 2023 You can use Product Page, then we can use code to remove Add to Cart button, replace it with "Buy on Amazon" button. Email me if you have need any help (free, of course.). Answer within 24 hours. Or send to forum message Contact Customer Care - Learn CSS - Buy me a coffee (thank you!)
BackPorch Posted June 13, 2023 Author Posted June 13, 2023 That would be great since I've already started building it that way and like the way it looks. Can you send me the code and let me know exactly how/where to use it? I'm assuming I will be able to insert the URL for the Amazon link in the code? Also, wondering if we can have it say "Purchase Here" or something rather than Buy on Amazon? Thank you so much for your help!

BackPorch Posted June 20, 2023 Author Posted June 20, 2023 OK, from what I can tell I have it set with password access. Password is BackPorch. https://koi-halibut-jfpr.squarespace.com/ (Home Page) https://koi-halibut-jfpr.squarespace.com/shop/p/fairways-greens-lost-balls-bad-lies (Product Page) I looked at the instructions you sent to the other person, but it looks like that will lead every product to the same URL. I need them to each go their own page on Amazon. I tried popping in her code to hide the cart and quantity dropdown, but it didn't work for me. Really hoping you can help me with this because our trial is supposed to end tomorrow and I've spent 8 days just trying to get this piece figured out and I'm a loooong way from having it finished. If there's a way to extend the trial period, that would also be great! Thank you in advance for any help!
creedon Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 Quote If there's a way to extend the trial period, that would also be great! Normally if this is your initial trial period SS will offer to extend your trial for bit more. There is usually a link in the email they send you telling you your trial is about to expire. My Store Product Detail Add to Cart Button Url Redirect code supports both options. All to one or each to unique. It is explained in the install instructions. Find my contributions useful?
