GUTIE Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 (edited) My original video plays smoothly. Upon uploading it (I used chrome first, then safari) it still has a static-ee, pause/jump at the 2:00 minute mark. Not sure how i can eliminate this. The original video has no issues. creedon Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 Can you point us to the video? I'm wondering if this is happening on the SS side because of some kind of encoding issue. Video hosting services in many cases encode uploaded videos and those encoders are not perfect. They are lossy and it could be that around the 2 minute mark the encoder just can't cope. paul2009 1 Find my contributions useful? creedon Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 As a test can you edit the video down to the problematic area of the video say 15 seconds before and 15 seconds after the bad spot. Upload that and see if the same part has issues? Find my contributions useful? Please like, upvote, mark my answer as the best ( solution ), and see my profile. Thanks for your support! paul2009 Posted June 12, 2023 Posted June 12, 2023 To add to what @creedon has said, best performance is usually achieved when the original file has 1080p resolution and is using .mpeg-4, AVC/H.264, HEVC/H.265 or ProRes as the video codec. creedon 1 Me: I'm Paul, a SQSP user for >18 yrs & Circle Leader since 2017. FreewheelStudios Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I will join in here, several months later. While I build sites for clients, I don't currently have any videos on client sites. However, on my own business site, I have three videos. These three rendered smoothly, play back smoothly on any device, and are absolutely normal in every way - until I upload them to my SQSP site. Every single one has an audio/visual glitch at the two-minute mark. This is present in videos uploaded today, and videos uploaded six months ago. Squarespace has something going on with their video service, and I'd sure love to know what it is. As a video guy, this is driving me nuts.
saskiar Posted August 26 Posted August 26 Hi, I am also having this issue. I have a few videos on my website and they all have an audio break at the 2 minute mark. Is there a solution? Thanks!
