Irregular-shaped video window (customise video window)

Does anyone know how to create a video window that is anything other than a rectangle? I want to put video into a specific shape. The video itself is short duration, about 60 seconds, and can either be hosted on my site or could be bought in from Vimeo and then cropped in some way so that only part of the screen is shown. 

I'm guessing this is a coding job?

You can consider create a shape image like screenshot > Then code, to when click on image >> open a video in lightbox.

Thank you for replying. The video needs to play in a constant loop triggered by the user simply landing on the home page. I do not want the user to have to click on anything to view
