How to fix Google indexing my homepage twice (website.com & website.com/home, which is the slug of the page used as homepage)

Hi,

I use the page with slug https://www.volna.be/home as homepage. And so Google has indexed both https://www.volna.be/ & https://www.volna.be/home, resulting in duplicate content.

I tried to add a 301 redirect from /home to / but it doesn't seem to work

How can I avoid /home being indexed ?

I'm having the exact same problem.  I just noticed this.  it's generating an incorrect page found in sitemap.xml error.  anyone know how to fix this?

did you ever find out more abou this?
