Cannot get Google Workspace to work with Squarespace

Hi all,

I'm having the hardest time getting Google Workspace to play nice with Squarespace.

My domain is through Google Domains, and the website is through Squarespace.

All I need is to have a myname@mysite.com email address before I can launch it.

However, everytime I try to sign up for Google Workspace, I get this error:

I have already verified that I own the domain through Google (using the CNAME method), but I cannot get the email to work.

After a lot of driving into a wall, I finally was able to log into Google admin console.

Now, I am trying to get the business starter account set up, but I keep getting this error:

So now I am very confused.

When I try to use Google Workspace through Squarespace, I get the first error.

When I try to use Google itself, I get the second error.

Where is the disconnect? I know this is probably something to stupid, but as a first timer, I am so lost, and so frustrated, but determined to get to the solution.
