Custom expanding photos on scroll

Hi Folks!

I've been searching, but I'm not really finding any answers... I would like to have a set of images transition from a "stack" to an expanded "full view" as the website scroll over the section. 

Scenario: I have several polaroid's I would like to appear as a stack, then when the viewer scrolls down they would open up/expand so each photo could be seen. And ideally, I would be able to choose the exact layout of the photos once expanded.

Any thoughts on how to achieve something like this?

I'm looking to display images the same way. Did you ever find a solution? Thanks!
