Website design disappeared!

Hi, I'm in the process of having my domain transferred to Squarespace.  That said, when I went to edit my website this morning, all the design work I had spent weeks on had disappeared!  Does the domain transfer have anything to do with this?  I would not have thought so as the web editing/design would be a separate thing regardless of where the domain registration came from??
