Rename built in domain

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'm new to Squarespace, just started to create my blog recently.

I have a domain I purchased via Sqsp (tastefeomthepast.com), it is my primary domain. I have managed to rename the built-in domain too, but it shows as tastefromthepast.squarespace.com

My question is: how can I change my domain name to the one I purchased, so without the sqsp.com?

Thanks for the help,

Timi

The built-in domain is the domain you use for editing your site.

The domain you purchased for use with your site is what people will use when you get everything set up correctly.

The purchased domain you provided in your post did not work for me so either the spelling is incorrect or you have not completed the necessary install steps. I don't know what those steps are as I'm not there. Follow any instruction SS provided.

I just checked the domain spelling. tastefromthepast.com works. So you should be good to go, domain wise, when you take your site public.
