Using built-in testimonial section—possible to add a 'Read More' for excess text?

Recommended Posts

I'm helping a client setup their testimonials page and was going to use the slider from Elfsight because it looks clean and has functionality I like (auto slide and read more)image.thumb.png.540a2aeb41500848ea0a3d830fc48528.png

However now that Squarespace has a built-in one I wanted to try using it, however it really doesn't offer much for customizing and what I don't like the most is you can't set overflow text to be hidden with a Read More button/text so the testimonials look nicer in a row.

I have Googled around a bit but don't think anyone has put out a solution for this or asked about it. Any ideas on how to achieve what Elfsight does with Read More, but with the built-in Squarespace testimonials tool?

Hey @tuanphan! Always appreciate your support in the forums (I've used your help for others many times!). Sorry for the late response, I thought I selected to be notified for any responses and only got the email today.

Yes, I could use help on this still if it's possible to achieve what I described (auto-hiding extra text with "Read More").

The current site can be viewed here: https://laneconstructionservices.ca/home-in-progress

It would be amazing to have a way to do this so I can save on additional plugins 😛
